Youlgrave Horticultural Society and Sustainable Youlgrave invite you to a ...

COMPOSTING WORKSHOP at Youlgrave Reading Room, 7.30pm

Thursday 28 February 2008

At its last meeting, the Horticultural Society decided to add a ‘Home Compost’ class to its annual Horticultural Show in September. So if you start now, your compost should be ready in time for this year’s event!

On the evening of Thursday 28 February in the Reading Room, Cheryl Woodruff, Home Composting Adviser for the Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP), will give a talk and demonstration and answer all your questions about home composting. Plus, a member of Sustainable Youlgrave will share their experience of visiting the food and green waste composting site used by the District Council at Ashbourne.

Entry is free, so do come along and learn how to make the most of your waste.

With a bit of care, anyone can make the rich and crumbly stuff - worth its weight in garden gold! And you might even win a prize at the annual Show!
